SSC CHSL Recruitment 2018 Exam Pattern / Examination Scheme:

The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination or CBT (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III).

SSC CHSL  2018 Phase-1 Exam Pattern

There will be a skill test for the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO) and the other test will be a typing test for the post of Assistant and clerk.

Phase - 2 Exam Pattern

The Phase - 2 Exam will be a descriptive type of total hundred (100 )marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode. It will be of one-hour duration and candidate required to write an easy of 200-250 words and letter/ application of 150-200 words. The paper Phase - 2 (Descriptive Paper) will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. section paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.

Phase - 3 Skill Test/ Typing Test:

In this stage, Applicants will have to give a typing speed test. The test will be operated for both English and Hindi languages:

• For English medium Applicants-  typing speed of 35 words per minute
• For Hindi medium Applicants – typing speed of 30 words per minute.

The test will be ten minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions. VH candidates (with 40% disability and above) will be allowed 30 minutes.
