Educational Qualification for CTET Exam 2018

For Class I-V Candidates: Candidates Must have completed class 12th with at least 50% marks and should have cleared or appeared in final year diploma of elementary education.

For Class VI-VIII Candidates: Candidates must have Graduation degree + passed or appearing in final year exam of (2 years) diploma elementary education.

Age Limit for CTET Exam 2018

The minimum age need to apply for CTET 2018 Exam is 18 years and there is no upper age limit.

Educational qualification:

The Eligibility Criteria is apart for selecting applicants to the post of Teacher for Classes I-V and for Classes VI-VIII. So Let’s look at the Educational Qualification need by Candidates for both these sections:

Educational Qualification for Classes I-V:

  • An applicant who has completed Senior Secondary (10+2)  or its equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration) OR
  • An applicant who has completed Senior Secondary  (10+2) or its equivalent exam securing minimum 45% marks and has cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration), as per to the NCTE Regulations 2002. OR
  • An applicant who has completed Senior Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent test with minimum 50% marks and has cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration).OR
  • An applicant who has completed Senior Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent test with minimum 50% marks and has cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Education (2 years duration). OR
  • An applicant who has Bachelor’s degree and has cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).

Educational Qualification for Classes VI-VIII:

  • An applicant who holds a Graduation degree and has passed or is appearing in final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). OR
  • An applicant who has completed his/her Graduation degree with 50% marks and has cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor in Education. OR
  • An applicant who has completed his/her Graduation degree with 40% marks and has cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor in Education, according to NCTE regulations. OR
  • An applicant who has completed Senior Secondary  (10+2) or its equivalent test with minimum 50% marks and has cleared or appearing in final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education. OR
  • An applicant who has completed Senior Secondary  (10+2) or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • An applicant who has Graduation degree with 50% marks and has cleared or appearing in B.Ed program of 1-year duration.

Age Limit:

CBSE CTET Exam 2018 Application Form:

The CBSE CTET 2018 online Application form submission has been started from 1st August 2018, CBSE has issued the CTET Notification officially. Candidates, who want to fill CTET 2018 Exam online form in a stipulated format on the official website of CTET that is ctet.nic.in, are able to apply now. Applicants may submit the CTET Online Application form 2018 before the last date. CTET Application Form 2018 will be locked on 27th August 2018.

How to fill CTET 2018 Exam?

1. First of all, Go to the official website of ctet i.e. www.ctet.nic.in

4. After that Instructions will be displayed on the screen go through them carefully, CTET 2018 Application Form will appear on the screen.

5. After that Fill the Online Application with all the particulars

6. After that Click on next tab, Upload scanned copies of photographs and signature

7. Then Now deposit the application fees through Online payment mode like net banking, challan, Debit-card, debit card. Application fees for different categories is stated above.

8. Click on the submit button

9. At last, Take out the hard copy of the application form for future reference

CBSE CTET 2018 – Exam Pattern:

 CTET 2018 will be operated by CBSE in either of two ways: Paper-1 or Paper -2 and Paper (1+2)

Paper -1 is conducted for candidates who aspire to become teacher for Class I to V and Paper II is conducted for candidates who aspire to become a teacher for Class VI to VIII. Candidates can also apply for both Paper -1 and Paper -2. The mode of Questions asked in both Paper -1 and Paper -2 is Objective Multiple Choice Questions. Paper asked in CBSE CTET 2018 will be bilingual, i.e. in both English and Hindi. Candidates need to score a minimum of 60% to qualify CTET 2018 Exam. One major thing to note is that the score of CTET is valid for 7 years after the result has been announced for the same by CBSE.

CTET Exam Admit Card 2018:

The admit card/Hall Ticket for CTET 2018 exam will be uploaded on the official website of CBSE after the application process is completed. Candidates need to download the CTET 2018 call letter from its official website. Admit Card will be published separately for candidates applying for Paper 1, Paper 2, for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

CTET Cut-off 2018:

CTET 2018 cut off will be issued after the conduct of the exam. The candidates appearing for CTET will be released Marks Statement. The applicants securing 60% (General) and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate. The School Management (Local bodies, Government, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to the person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.

CTET  Result 2018:

The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) will announce CTET 2018 Result after 1 or 2 months of examination. This result will be declared for only those candidates who will score as per the qualifying marks in the CTET 2018 entrance exam.
